About Us

Welcome to Brazeau Thoroughbred Farms

Brazeau-sceneLocated in the beautiful Diamond Valley area of Hemet, California, Brazeau Thoroughbred Farms is set on a picturesque hill near Lake Hemet, one of California’s largest lakes.

The past three years at Brazeau Thorougthbred Farms has been non-stop construction.  We've fully renovated pastures, added 50 new stalls, developed an alfalfa crop, and built a whole new track that included grading and the railing.

The 80+ acres of land sits on the site of a previous Thoroughbred breeding farm. Today, Brazeau Thoroughbred Farms (BTF) is a thriving, ever-expanding, full-service Thoroughbred horse farm.

Long-time Thoroughbred owners, who previously owned Delta Farms in Rancho Santa Fe, California, Paul and Aileen Brazeau purchased the Ranch in March, 2012.

Freshly revamped during the last year, Brazeau Thoroughbred Farms offers a full lineup of services and programs today. The Farm Offers:

BTF-hay-fieldsThough previously neglected and run down, with hard work and lots of TLC, today Brazeau Thoroughbred Farms has been transformed into a beautiful and vital property. Everything on the original farm has been replaced or rebuilt, always always considering the comfort and safety of the horses.

With a focus always on training, the farm has a one-mile distance track (with an uphill gallop and starting gates), over-sized training stalls, a Eurosizer, two round pens and a bull pen, multitudes of small lay-up pens, and many turnouts. The large pastures - designed for broodmares and young horses - are now beautiful green fields.  We've also incorporated Cytowave Equine Therapy to our care and treatment.

The BTF training barn today has 35 horses under tack; with the excellent surface of their new track, all of the BTF horses are race-ready conditioned right on the premises. And, with the addition of a turf gallop and an aqua tread under development, the training and exercising programs will match any in the nation.

Special Features Include:Brazeau-mares eating in afternoon

  • World-Class Equine Facility
  • New Eurocizer
  • Turf Gallop (underway)
  • Aquatred (underway)

With vast alfalfa fields, combined with ample water from the Brazeau Thoroughbred Farm's high-yielding wells, BTF annually grows and cuts enough alfalfa to satisfy the needs of the farm’s horses. This self- sufficiency provides plentiful home-grown quality hay at BTF all year long.  Our farm features a 1-mile racetrack, slanted for uphill gallop which helps build lung capacity and develops a better athlete. We are updating our facilities and have 40 new stalls in four different barns including a stallion barn and foaling barn.
